Audits offer the highest level of assurance for a business' financial statements, and include in-depth examination and confirmation of account balances. A distinguishing aspect of audits is the use of third-party confirmation on information provided by the entity being audited. Audits are often required by lenders. We perform audits on governmental, nonprofit, and for-profit entities.

Reviews provide limited assurance to outside interests and involve inquiries and analytical procedures that confirm financial statement matters and identify any items requiring further analysis. Reviews are often selected by business owners or boards of directors for there own information even if an audit is not required.

Compilations are usually requested for internal purposes and are based upon information provided by a company's management. They do not offer assurance but may involve some adjustment to accounting records. Small business owners that do not have the accounting background to produce their own accurate financial statements often select compilations
