Meet Our Founder

David M. Snyder

Mr. Snyder founded his firm in 1981 as Snyder and Associates in Monterey, California. The Salinas office was established in 1982 and the Soledad office came online in 1989. Snyder Accountancy, the name of the professional corporation chartered in 1989, has remained in operation under that name up to the present.

Being a resident of Monterey County for 31 years, Mr. Snyder has enjoyed serving the county with his firm’s accounting services since inception. Presently, clients use Snyder Accountancy’s services from all over California and from many other states as well.

The services provided by Mr. Snyder and his versatile team include general accounting, taxation, auditing, and consulting. His experience in all of theses areas began in 1968, one-year prior his graduation from Arizona State University with a B.S. in Accounting.

Prior to starting his accounting business, he worked with a national CPA firm, a regional CPA firm and in private industry. The 13 years of experience readied him from his own business.

Throughout his career as business owner and prior, he has participated in higher education as a professor and as a student. He taught college-level accounting and auditing classes at UCLA, Golden Gate University and Monterey Peninsula College. He has also studied toward to advanced degrees at Arizona State University and Golden Gate University.

He enjoys solving his client’s problems and assisting them with necessary, professional services. His philosophy is to serve each client as their advocate in an ethical and friendly manner.
